A Great Toy to Build: yourwoddenfolktoyidea

During the 18th century, the modern  yo-yo we all know today was  know as a "bandalore." It wasnt until 1928 when yo-yos were popularized in America when Pedro Flores opened the first Yo-yo Manufacturing Company in Santa Barbara, California. Yo-yos have taken many shapes, sizes, and colors since then but they are always the simple design of an axle conected to two disks, and a length of string looped around the axle.

The yo-yo always has the one basic task to throw down and watch it come back up. But the fact that people can bring yo-yos to such a complex level and preform tricks with them is something that has always peaked my interests. This toy also has the abiltiy to leave a person hipnotized for hours on end with just a simple up and down motion. Anyone can go to the store and by themselves a yo-yo but I can garentee almost anyone can make one just as well.
